We have some exciting news!
So it’s official, we received our Pre-approval letter from China! Which means we can now share that…
God has found our son. Yup, littlest bear is a boy and we are over the moon!
SO many emotions and stories to share about how God orchestrated all the details to get us to this point, but those will come soon enough. Until then, please join us in celebrating God’s perfect plan and timing!
I’d be remiss to ignore the fact that this time last year seemed dark. We didn’t know what God’s plan was for our family. We weren’t without hope, but we were feeling desperately helpless and fervently clinging to Jesus. It was a beautifully sanctifying, yet tremendously hard place to be. But now I can surely sing with the Psalmist, “Weeping may tarry for the night, buy joy comes with the morning.” (Psalm 30:5).

If you are in that painful season, I can’t promise it’ll get easier or go away, but I can point you to the One who is and always will be faithful to the needs of your soul. If your eyes are fixed upon Him, joy (not flimsy happiness) will come.
“New mercies every morning, grace for every day;
New hope for every trial, and courage all the way”
I also feel it’s necessary to add, while being able to share this news is an absolute delight, this isn’t about some fairy tale with a blissfully, credulous ending. The reality is, adoption is complex, it’s hard – it’s born out of brokenness. There’s still so much to navigate through, both exciting and intimidating. But for today, we rejoice that God is working out His perfect plan to give a child a family who will welcome him home with open arms and love him unconditionally. We simply cannot wait to meet you our sweet son.
Please continue to pray for:
Our son’s health well-being, as well as those caring for him.
For JB, JG and I as we prepare our hearts and home for littlest bear.
That God will continue to guide us through the next steps and that we’d be able to get a care package and pictures of us to him; and receive updates from our son’s orphanage.
Joyfully in Christ,
